THE GROWING FAMILY:     The Indigenous Christian Alliance has been forming over the past several years. After five national gatherings of First Nations ministry leaders to discuss the need and share vision, the ICA was officially launched in November of 2003. Today, several dozen Native ministry organizations, and many dozen more leaders have joined together to form the ICA. It exists as a loose-knit alliance to provide personal accountability/ integrity, relational partnerships and friendships and a supportive environment for those involved in contextual ministry among First Nations people.  The ICA is a relational alliance, not an organizational structure. THE MISSION:    of the ICA is to present a Biblically faithful, theologically sound, culturally appropriate, and credible witness for Jesus Christ among Indigenous people; encouraging them to pursue a genuine relationship with the Creator, embrace their God-given cultural identity, and equip them to walk as devoted followers of the Jesus Way in their home, community, and world.

 

THE VISION STATEMENT:   for the Coalition is to strengthen and encourage the disciple-making and equipping ministry of member First Nations ministry organizations and individuals that is focused on First Nations people in North America and around the world.

 

THE PURPOSE STATEMENT:    The ICA exists to assist its ministry partners and friends to build relationships, equip, and resource First Nations believers to establish spiritually vibrant disciple-making ministries for community, national and international outreach and mission; to equip and facilitate First Nations people to take their God-defined role in impacting the nations for Christ and His Kingdom.
